Promotion Announcement: New Area Portfolio Manager
Sherman Residential is excited to announce that Brandy Davis has accepted an expanded role as our Area Portfolio Manager. With six years at our company, she brings immense knowledge and a cultivated skill set to support our complete portfolio of on-site property managers.
Davis joined the Sherman team as a Resident Relations Manager in 2016. She successfully managed a 384-unit community in San Antonio and then took a brief hiatus to explore another career path in real estate.
Sherman was honored when she returned to manage Maple District Lofts in the medical district of Dallas. Over time, she helped manage other Dallas area properties, and she also volunteered her experience and began mentoring her colleagues throughout our portfolio. Davis used her expertise to benefit her team, our residents, and the Sherman staff.
In 2021, Brandy Davis assumed the position of Senior Portfolio Manager. She supported nationwide acquisitions and dispositions and led employee development for our on-site teams in the Dallas-Fort Worth metroplex. This support role proved indispensable to our team, and Sherman made a succession plan to expand it.
As a family-owned company, Sherman has operated for 100 years on a model that provides opportunities for its stakeholders. Leadership ensures that this covers its investors, residents, and employees. Over the past year, they grew the Director of Property Management position, held by Hilary Nichols, to a Vice President position. This restructuring opened the opportunity to promote Brandy Davis to Area Portfolio Manager, which will support all properties in the portfolio.
As Area Portfolio Manager, Davis will continue to:
- guide on-site property management,
- identify potential for staff development and resident experiences,
- and benefit the corporate team initiatives of acquiring new communities.
